AusRAIL 2026, the largest rail industry event in the Asia-Pacific region, will take place from 23 to 25 November 2026 at the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre (BCEC), Australia. Organised by the Australasian Railway Association (ARA) and run "by industry, for industry", the conference and exhibition is expected to bring together more than 4,000 rail professionals from Australia, New Zealand and beyond. What the 2026 Program Includes

The 2026 edition features a refreshed program with a shared Day 1 plenary for whole-of-industry discussion and Day 2 concurrent sessions. The opening address is led by ARA Chief Executive Officer Caroline Wilkie, who sets out the sector's outlook in a session titled "The decade that will define the rail industry", covering infrastructure delivery, workforce capability, productivity, digital transformation, safety and sustainability.

Pre-event activities on Monday 23 November include the Women in Rail Forum and post-conference site tours to Queensland projects such as the QNGR Wulkuraka Maintenance Facility, the Queensland Train Manufacturing Program mock-up train, the Gold Coast Light Rail Depot, and the Rail Management Centre with Mayne Yard. ARA states the conference offers up to 10 hours of continuing professional development eligible for Engineers Australia members.

Why Brisbane Matters for the Rail Supply Chain

Queensland is one of Australia's most active rail regions, combining heavy haul freight corridors, passenger networks and major rollingstock manufacturing investment. For suppliers of track maintenance technology and consumables, AusRAIL is a concentrated meeting point with the infrastructure managers, contractors and heavy haul operators who plan grinding programs and specify rail maintenance products - a decision-making mix that is difficult to reach through other channels.

RailwayCare will not exhibit at AusRAIL 2026. The company is monitoring the event's program and audience as it evaluates which international rail exhibitions to join in the coming years, consistent with its approach to other events such as InnoTrans in Berlin.
